Procedure: Facelift and Neck Lift
This 65 year old had a considerable amount of loose hanging skin on his neck affecting his profile and self esteem. He did not wish to have a facelift or a traditional neck lift with incisions behind the ears. He chose to have a direct cervicoplasty or direct neck lift by removing the extra skin in a vertical ellipse right at the midline of his neck. The wound is then closed with a technique called a z-plasty to conceal the incision in the natural contour of the neck. The post-surgical photo was taken at 7 months.
