Procedure: Neck Lift
This 69 year old gentleman was very bothered by the loose hanging skin under his chin. He did not wish to have any other procedure performed except for addressing this. He was an ideal candidate for a direct submental necklift. Unlike a traditional necklift operation where the incisions are made and the skin is pulled from behind the ears, we elected to directly excise the excess skin and fat and address the muscle from under the chin. The wound is then closed in a zig-zag pattern called a z-plasty to camouflage the scar. Needless to say, he is more than pleased, especially considering that the after photo was taken at just three weeks!
