A mini tummy tuck in Beverly Hills, also known as partial abdominoplasty, is a procedure for men or women whose condition is not severe enough for a full abdominoplasty. This procedure can improve excess fat and loose skin of the lower abdomen.
The mini tummy tuck is a less invasive procedure than a full tummy tuck. It is ideal for patients whose conditions do not require a full abdominoplasty yet are more extensive than what liposuction alone can treat. For the mini tummy tuck, patients generally have excess skin and sometimes fat in the lower abdominal area.
Am I A Good Candidate?
Dr. Stevens recommends a mini tummy tuck for men and women who are physically healthy, at a stable weight and are non-smokers.
What to Expect After Surgery
After surgery, it is common to experience swelling during the first few days of recovery. Any discomfort you may feel can be controlled with medication prescribed by Dr. Stevens. Another side effect may include numbness. This procedure has a shorter recovery time than a full tummy tuck.
Patients will need to wear a compression garment during the healing period that may last two to three weeks after surgery. You will be able to return to work within one to three weeks. Light activity may be resumed within two to three days days and strenuous activity should be avoided for about one month.
