Is anyone thinking of having plastic surgery? I highly recommend Dr. Leslie Howard Stevens (who needs to change his name to Michelangelo). I have been a hairdresser since 1972. I grew up in my mom’s hair salon in Huntington Beach, California, seeing all kinds of plastic surgery. When I lived in California, I had many clients from Newport Beach. I continually saw awful scars on their hairlines, eyes and scalps. It was difficult trying to cover up these scars when doing their hair. I moved to Maui in 2002 and began working for a five-diamond resort in Kapalua, where my clientele were part of the ‘rich and famous’. I did hair and spray tans for these clients. At that time, I was convinced that I would never have plastic surgery based on the scars that I saw, as I believed that the scarring was not worth trying to look younger, have bigger ‘boobs’, etc. Two years ago, while doing hair for two ladies in a wedding party, I was amazed. I imagined that these ladies were around my age. I suspected that they had plastic surgery and kept looking for scars as I did their hair. I couldn’t find any evidence of scarring on their hairlines or eyelids. After I was finished doing their hair, I commented on how great they looked with such flawless skin, especially coming from sunny California. They told me that their facelifts were done by Dr. Stevens in Beverly Hills. I asked for his phone number and filed his name and number away. After waiting two years, I phoned that number and spoke to a very sweet receptionist. She asked me if I had found Dr. Stevens on You Tube. I explained that I had not but that I had seen his beautiful work first-hand on two of my clients. After making my appointment, I pulled up the You Tube video where I listened to Sharon Osbourne’s lavish endorsements of Dr. Stevens. I remember thinking, ‘Wow, a movie-star doctor!’ It has been two weeks since my surgery with Dr. Stevens and I absolutely LOVE the results. My own son did not know that I had the facelift and upon seeing me just kept telling me how good I looked. I had been afraid to tell him why I had recently spent some time in California, because for as long as I could remember I had told him that I wanted to ‘grow old gracefully’. My two girlfriends from beauty school, who saw me only three days after my surgery, were so impressed with what they deemed ‘an amazing job’ that one of them is booking her appointment with Dr. Stevens this week! The anticipated bruising was very minimal and the incisions were a work of art. Furthermore, Dr. Stevens assures me that I will look even better in three months’ time.

Twenty years ago Dr Stevens performed a surgery on me. I recommended him to several others and they too had amazing experiences! My surgery was perfect! I moved back to the East Coast and was visiting LA…. and decided to pay the doctor a visit. My experience again was amazing. Not only did the doctor remember me, but I would absolutely do more and make a special visit to have Dr Stevens do another surgery. I know it sounds crazy but I feel more comfortable with the Dr and his office and staff rather than another doctor I don’t know closer to me in NYC. So I will plan a short vacation to LA, have friends take care of me after my next surgery with the Lasky Clinic, and spend a few days recuperating in LA. I recently had surgery with Dr Leslie H Stevens at the Lasky Clinic, Beverly Hills. I cannot praise him or the clinic highly enough. From start to finish the entire process was completely stress free and the results are incredible. The staff that work with Dr Stevens are so kind, helpful and knowledgeable that you immediately feel as if you are in good hands. Dr Stevens himself is honest, straightforward yet sensitive with a great sense of humor. In addition (and most importantly) the results are perfect. I had 12 year old saline implants removed (with a capsulectomy) and my breasts look incredible with minimal scars. I have no doubt that had I decided to have implants put back in again my breasts would have also looked natural and perfect. Dr Stevens was so helpful after the surgery and answered all my ridiculous questions immediately even at the weekend. He really put my mind at ease. I was also excited to see him featured in a magazine shortly after my surgery. I guess I’m not the only person who thinks he’s great! 🙂 The clinic itself is luxurious and comfortable and I was particularly impressed by the anesthetist (always the most frightening part as you sleep through the rest!). He was so reassuring and must have given me the perfect amount of medication as I felt great afterwards. I was actually out shopping later that afternoon (despite the drains!). I flew over from the UK for surgery (although I have previously lived in the US) so the whole process could have been a lot more complicated but it really was seamless. From my research I it seemed that surgery in the UK was going to be very bureaucratic and there seemed to be more obstacles than solutions. I also wanted a surgeon who has a lot of experience like Dr Stevens. If I need/want any other surgery in the future I’ll be going back to Dr Stevens (if I was a little richer I’d probably have been back already for some minor tweaks!!) Oh I also believe Dr Stevens may be consulting in London in the future so don’t hesitate to book an appointment with him if you live in UK. You won’t regret it!
