Eye Lift – Blepharoplasty

PRO-EyeSurgery

If you have excess upper or lower eyelid skin, bags or puffiness, drooping skin, or conditions that make you look tired or upset, cosmetic eyelid surgery may be a procedure worth considering. Typically, eyelid surgery results in a more youthful, rested, and energetic appearance by correcting excess skin, tissue and fat that contribute to puffiness, bags, and wrinkles in the upper and lower eyelids.

Am I a Good Candidate?
Dr. Stevens recommends the eyelift procedure for adult men and women who have healthy facial tissue and muscles. They should also have no life-threatening illnesses or a medical condition that can impair the healing process. A good candidate needs to have realistic goals for results and improvement of the upper and/or lower eyelids and surrounding area.

What to Expect After Surgery
Post-surgery may include some swelling, bruising, irritation or dry eyes and discomfort. However, this can can be controlled with medication, cold compresses and ointment. It is also possible that irritation at the incision sites may occur. It is also important to practice diligent sun protection and to use darkly tinted glasses until the healing process is complete.
