Thigh Lift
Excess skin and fat can develop in our thigh areas making them flabby or loose despite our best efforts at diet and exercise. The reasons for this can be attributed to numerous factors such as age, weight fluctuations, heredity or even simple gravity. The thigh lift can help by removing excess skin and sometimes excess fat. The result is a firmer, smoother and more toned thigh and lower body contour.
Am I a Good Candidate?
Dr. Stevens recommends a thigh lift for adult men and women who are in good physical health and seeking improvement of a full or sagging thigh. As with other cosmetic procedures, it is also essential that patients have realistic goals for improvement.
What to Expect After Surgery
After surgery, it is common to experience swelling during the initial healing process. While these side effects should fade for the most part within two to three weeks, some minor swelling can remain which can obscure the final results for a period of time.
A compression garment will need to be worn for several weeks. This will help to minimize swelling and support the new shape of the thighs. A return to light activity and work can be expected within about two weeks after the thigh lift.
